Cultivating Community: Restorative Justice Theory and Practice
Learn more about Restorative Justice (RJ) principles with a trauma informed and racial equity lens by attending our in-person training, "Cultivating Community: Restorative Justice Theory and Practice," Thursday, January 25 - Saturday, January 27, 2024.
You have the option to attend for two days and gain insights into RJ Principles through a trauma-informed and racial equity lens OR attend all three days of the training which qualifies you to become a volunteer Restorative Justice Facilitator at the non-profit organization Restorative Justice Community Action.
You will engage in interactive sessions, and participate in hands-on exercises.This immersive in-person program is co-led by local nonprofits Minnesota Peacebuilding Leadership Institute (Peacebuilding) and Restorative Justice Community Action (RJCA) and will take place at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis, MN.
Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church is committed to anti-racism and practices LGBTQIA+ inclusivity. This training takes place in the building but is not affiliated with the church.
Here’s an overview of the schedule:
Interested in becoming an RJCA facilitator? Prior to attending Day 3 of this training, it's preferred that you observe at least one RJCA conference. Those who become a volunteer RJCA facilitator may be eligible for a complete refund of their training fees.
