Women's History Month Featured Leader: Ellen Ochoa

​Ellen Ochoa (1958 – present)

• NASA astronaut and lead researcher and developer of computer optical systems and spacecraft
• Flew on the space shuttle “Discovery” in 1993
• Studied physics and electrical engineering at San Diego State University and Stanford University
• As of 1998, Ochoa had logged over 480 hours in space
